I’d like a pair of cyberstealths in a US mens size 9.
im interested as well, i also would like to know the prices first
We are talking about expensive shoes here. The Asics Cybersealths will be between $250-300 US. Much the same for the other shoes.
do not pay that much for any mizuno or asics spike.they are not that expensive!!! max $150
Yeah I would never pay for any spike over 100-120$ max. I think I’ll just go with the Geo Spark 3’s for 40$ or the Gold Maxcats for 89$…
For those interested…
Mizuno Chrono Dash for $45.00

I’ve narrowed it down to Mizuno Geo Spark 3’s, Mizuno Chrono Dash, and the Mizuno Tokyo’s. (200m/400m in mind, decision, decisions…)
go with the geo spark 3’s or the tokyo’s the chrono dash has a permanent spike plate so you cant change the spikes. Good for most hard tracks, you would just need a back up pair for soft tracks…
As for the Chrono Inx SS they are in the mid 200’s. I found out they are a special edition model of the chrono dash and they can only be ordered through the main company in japan  grrrrrrrr…
I have all the spikes mentioned in this post and nothing could be further from the truth.
The Chrono Dash is a far superior spike to either the tokyo’s or the geo sparks. The spikes may be permanent but they hold you and give you better return on any surface (with possibly the exception of grass - i havent tried them on grass), are much lighter and bouncier.
The Chrono INX have nothing to do with the Chrono Dash. Chrono INX spikes have been around longer than the Dash, and the INX SS (Shingo Sutsegu) are just a shrouded model of the latest Chrono INX.
If you want any of the Japanese Mizuno spikes you are best off doing a search across JApanese retail shops as they tend to be cheaper than the Mizuno Home Page.
Thanks for the correction. Its just with the Chrono Dash, some indoor tracks and outdoor only alow 1/8 spikes, and arent the spikes 1/4’s?
Guys, what is your opinion of the chrono dash for race situations? I used them years ago for the 55m and ran several PRs in the shoes however I didn’t like them for 100s because of their extreme design (how they REALLY put you on your forefoot). I felt they were very unnatural at top speed but they seemed to help my start/acceleration alot!
I considered allowing one of my sprinters to use my Chrono Dash’s but they’re so extremely different than most shoes…I don’t wanna screw him up. Thoughts?
can anyone help?
As long as they are flexible, it’s just a matter of prefrence.
I’d let him train in them and let him decide.
As I’ve mentioned 100 times… Chrono SS’s rule! I have them and they are by far the most superior spike know to man! Plus they are super exclusive so I feel special! LOL
The spikes aren’t actually what you’d call typical, so it’s difficult to say how long they are. They have only one tier, (as opposed to christmas trees) and its difficult to say where you’d start measuring, particularly on the INX’s where the bottom part of the spike is plastic and the spike plugs in on top of it.
Personally, I’ve never been asked to not wear spikes due to their length (and only had them checked at big meets, where it was more a matter of process than them actually caring).
I wouldn’t. The shoes inner sole and the sorbethane (or whatever mizuno are using now) will have moulded themselves to suit your foot and your foot strike. You could cause mechanical problems.
The nike superfly is a stiffer plate. Justin Gatlin wore a pair of Superfly G5’s in the 04 olympics and he certainly isnt small by any means. As for the Asics I have a pair of the Cyberflash and they are an amaizing shoe, very light comfortable and the plate is perfect. They discontinued them and replaced them with the Lite-ning. Its a bit lighter and it doesnt have a zip up shroud. Also consider the Mizuno Geo Spark 3. Extremely comfortable and the plate is about 3/4 of the shoe.
www.Dickpondathletics.com this site has alot of great deals on spikes. The chrono dash are only $45.
thanks for your insight. i’ve been wearing the Superfly P (bright red & yellow from several years back) for a while. They’ve held up great and I love the firm plate, but I want to try something other than Nike. I’m really digging the discontinued Cyberflash, especially since the price is discounted at most vendors.
Dont bother with the cyberflash its hard to find in common sizes, go with the geo spark 3 (bright red and blue) I used it this year and is far superior. But I had to soak it in water over night to losen the upper a little.
what does anyone think of these http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail.cfm?TID=5555-06160613020106130148895-0&module=unknown&action=view&supercat=shoes&model_nbr=65688&sku=6004701&id=54419&mvp=sport or http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail.cfm?TID=5555-06160613020106130148895-0&module=unknown&action=view&supercat=shoes&model_nbr=47445&sku=313310&id=54419&mvp=sport or http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail.cfm?TID=5555-06160613020106130148895-0&module=unknown&action=view&supercat=shoes&model_nbr=66717&sku=41018410&id=54419&mvp=sport or http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail.cfm?TID=5555-06160613020106130148895-0&module=unknown&action=view&supercat=shoes&model_nbr=66711&sku=41022710&id=54419&mvp=sport ???
They are all great shoes… it just depends on what you like. Id go with the tokyos… the plate is much stiffer and forces you to stay on ur toes
