Geo Spark 3’s are flexible? I DON’T want to know what is rigid if that is flexible.
My mistake, I have actually not ever used/seen the Geo Spark 3’s. I figured since someone had earlier posted them as a decent 400m spike that they may be a flexible plate. Are these not very suitable for the longer sprint events?
Mine were too large to be used, but I must say that judging by how light they are, they way the spike is, and even the fit (for me it was a half a size too big, so I am currently waiting for a return) they would be fine. I mean, I wouldn’t consider them as stiff as say the Adidas spikes out there, but it is not like the Maxcats. I think it would be fine, but it is certainly a stiff plate. For the price, it isn’t a big risk either and Eastbay is extremely generous with returns (I have returned w/o receipt and original box and had no problems).
Ah, I see… so what size do you normally wear? Do Mizuno’s fit smaller or larger? I wear 11 normally, but I wasn’t sure if I should order a 10.5 or 11. I was lookin for the maxcats in white/gold but no luck.
Sadly, my size is weird and I don’t know why. I have Nike’s in size 9 and Nike’s in size 10.5. Both fit perfectly. I have no idea why. I have a pair of Mizuno trainers that are 10.5 and fit fine, yet the 10.5 size spikes from them are at least a size too large. Some people say Mizuno’s run small (I think that’s because the strap down system is so effective), but I think they may run large, but who knows.
Hey, I bought the Geo’s for 39.99 (US) its a great shoe. The plate looks and feels stiff, but if you use any force with your hands it will curl right up.
I like the fit and feel, but I also bought a pair of the Brooks F1 which was totally my cup of tea. The Brooks will be my short sprint shoe, and the Geo’s will work for my 2 and 400 races.
Mizuno sizes for me match my Nike sizes.
My nike spikes are a size 9.5 and i bought a 10 in the mizuno geo sparks and there is atleast an inch of room from my big toe to the end of the shoe…
So are you saying then you should’ve bought a size 9 or 9.5 in Mizuno?
9.5… they are about a half size to big for me. but I like my spikes really tight.
I see… Thanks for the help.
Anyone tried the Nike Zoom Celar 2’s? Any bad/good experience? Just curious; so far my top choice right now will be Geo Spark 3’s, but still want some options…
dont like them for the 60 nor 100, 200m yes…
Forget those. Go for the mizunos. Or better yet get a pair of asics Cyberflash or the new Asics Japan Litening

How do the ASICS Cyberflash & Cybersprint plates compare to the Nike Superfly plate? Are the ASICS spikes mentioned feasible for a heavier & strong sprinter?
the asics cyberflash’s are hard as hell to find because they stopped making them. Asics now makes a lightening or something along the lines of that. Its the same color and a bit lighter. but its shroud is not zip up its just open laces. I tried them on and the Geo Spark 3’s feel much better to me

I just recently bought the cyberflash. They fit nicely, but after a while during workouts, the oustside of my feet begin to feel sore. Has anyone had a similar experience w/ these shoes? I’m wondering if I should try a different spike.
Hi All,
Doing a bit of prospecting here:
How many people would be interested in buying imported, high-end, japan only sprint spikes?
ie. Asics Cyberstealth, Mizuno Chrono INX SS, Mizuno Chrono WR?
I have been looking for ever for the Mizuno Chrono INX ss. but i dont want to have to pay the price they are american money… how much could you get them for??? (if you have a connection.
and where the chronos a special edition model???
