thanks, man. i’ll check them out
I have a pair of brand new Mizuno Geo spark 3 ( red and blue) in size 9.5. I wore them for 2 meets and didnt like them for the 200m. So im selling them. If anyone is interested PM me.
Looking for spikes:
does ayone know a thing about the asics:
lite ning,
or turbo phantom
are they any good?
Ive got the litening. Pretty light. They also have 3 permanent spikes and the rest are removable. They are nothing like the nike spikes at all. They are VERY flexible but feel solid while sprinting. They almost feel and look like a pair of old school spikes. They are a good pair of shoes but I would not practice in them on a mondo surface for long periods of time.
why not, just curious, btw my home track is cinder and the majority of the tracks that we run on are as well, I was just wondering your reasoning.
To much running on a hard track in spikes can cause injuries in the feet ankles knees and possibly hips.
well the plan is t use them only in sprint specific training so maybe once a week or even less.
My track is tartan, and i agree on training with spikes should not be every training if you have a hard track.
I like it when you say a flexible shoe, i have used the cyberflash sprintspike, but they hurt my feet.
So i dont want a shoe like that anymore. I believe the nikes have that to.
The cyberversus shoe i have used with great pleasure. So i hope the phantom shoes will be usable for my 400 hurdles too.
oh yeah, i was aware of that, but i just thought those specfic spikes, sorry for the misunderstanding.
I just got some Lite-ning spikes. Very light, very flexible, nice fit. I think they are going to be very popular.
i just bought those for 40 bucks and they arrived today and they do seem a little too inflexible but i am going to have to run in them to make my final verdict.
they are good for the 100 and under… but going around turns is fairly difucult…
Hmm…Guess I will have to see for myself as well when they arrive…
just my fucking luck, i don’t even do the 100m.
has anyone tried the new adidas demolishers (orange and black)???
Hmm… So the Geo Spark 3’s aren’t gettin such a hot review for anything beyond 200m. Still want to go with Mizuno… Need a good shoe for 200/400… Tokyo’s ?
I used my geospark 3’s for the first time today… amazing shoe. I didn’t use it on any turns, so I cannot give you advice on that. It is a really great shoe though and very cheap at the moment.
this kid I raced yesterday wore a black and red (i think geo spark looks almost exactly like it) and said they feel good on turns
red and black would be the mizuno tokyo’s.
Tokyo 2’s are exactly the same as the original Tokyo, aren’t day? Just different color?
Or they could be the Mizuno Geo Sparks that I had few seasons back. They are red and black in a flame design.
