Unfortunately, they’ll be running involved

By talking or by improving his 100m time about one full second?

I guess anything better than a relaxed 10.05 should do in the JA trials…

But then again what exactly DO YOU know?

how does their maintenance phase of weights look like for those of us who aren’t illuminated in the knowledge of their ways? Might they lift heavy for one set to end whatever lift they doing? This kind of stuff is great knowledge to read about! With speed work, are you talking about (4X30-80-100-120-150) session type speed. Think you can get lion kings 80-100-120-150 training splits from he who is your knowledge contact, so we can compare to big bens? Or might this be revealing the years hand of Lion King much too early to the formidable Typhoon?

I know that in the past 2 seasons he was doing speed work around this time and the weights were not very intense (though if you heard some of their workouts, you would wonder if they were ever intense for the guys).

Maintenance lifting is generally once every 4 days, though varies w/ access to weightrooms. Medballs are used a bit as well.

Speed work is present in the form of SE. Not much under 60m. Reps may be 60-150m or so (VERY fast), but it really varies (I wasn’t given a list of workouts w/ dates around their competitions, just some general ideas of what they were doing at this time).

Can’t really delve into total volumes as it varies w/ comps a lot around this time. Sometimes there are 2 days in a row of speed, sometimes a few days off. There is less tempo than you would expect as they have world class therapy on site and that appears to take its place.

Remember he said his legs were weak after Adidas Meet and he gon go lift a bunch of weights to strengthen his legs as they’ve become weak, just in time for WCTrials… think this may work for him cause of his experience…
lol joking
Mo is on the TGraham special of 4X /week Squatting and a slew of intermediate work for 3 weeks or so until 10 days before WCTrials…lol  , what a wonderful world it’d be if that were possible!

MLF looks a lot more relaxed than in previous seasons.

Craig’s technique is pretty horrible, always has been. I agree Gerald. Effective though it would seem!

Video of asafa powell 9.97. Scroll down, video is on right side.

yea its workin very well so far. Craig’s technique looks alot better if you see him run live or maybe its just me.

i agree. his technique also looks a lot better when you see him side on.

It will be interesting to see how he backs up over 4 x 100m rounds in Osaka if he stresses as much as seems. Then again, it didn’t stop Allan Wells who always looked like his head was going to explode when he was racing
