but we are in may!
and asafa has some problems
in august we’ll watch a great race in osaka

And Asafa has a history of not performing in big meets. I believe that Gay and Scott are going to be in form, and it wouldn’t surprise me if Fasuba edges Asafa out of a medal (if he’s even race fit, which we don’t know right now).

With Gay’s early time–and as fast as people think the Osaka track is–I can’t help wondering if the first 9.6x (legal) might be possible.

it wouldn’t surprise me if Fasuba edges Asafa out of a medal (if he’s even race fit, which we don’t know right now).

What is Asafa’s history in big meets (since he has been considered a contender)? He ran his 2nd fastest time ever (up to that point) in the Olympic Games final. Yeah he could’ve PR’d, but 2nd fastest ever isn’t too bad.

He didn’t compete at the 05 WC and in 06 there wasn’t a WC, but he won every single big meet with relative ease.

It’s true. We all love Fasuba but last time I checked he’s #20 in the world, not #3.

Sherone Simpson has that same hand mannerism during the arm-swing as Gay is doing above

thank you!!!

You are saying that gay, scott and, fasuba will beat asafa? wtf

was asafa’s time in athens 2004 final his second fastest ever?? i thought he ran quicker than that in jamaica and london that year? i may be wrong.

well asafa is more mature now he ll know how to pace his runs in the diffrent rounds of the championship

He ran 1 time faster before that race.

Jeremy Wariner on his way to 44.02 in Osaka, 2007

Good illustration of a high foot-carry, with the “free” foot crossing at or above the knee of the “support” (or grounded) leg without the knee “breaking” on the support leg or the hip dropping laterally. The fact he can get into this good posture suggests his front to rear flexibility-mobility is very good - or at least good enough so as not to adversely restrict his ROM so that he can apply force effectively. That’s my take on it anyhow

Asafa looks like a meaty, meaty beast in that pic.

Sanya Richards wins the World Cup 400

wow, check out the Lactic acid affecting runner AS1 at the back

AWESOME pic KK, to have that position in a 400m would not only require very good flexibility-mobility but a lot of strength would it not?

LOL, i’d say as well that position requires great strength and flexibility. I once tried to run with that 400m type of step-over in the winter cold, on snowy concrete, early morning hours, on the way home from one night of drinking and strained the left achilles. Didn’t feel it till the next morning, lol.

what u think of this compared to jermie
