what to work on

today i timed some 40 yd dashes and they came out to be about a 4.8. now this was hand timed and it was timed by myself becasue no one else was with me but these should be pretty close. my 10 yd time was 1.7 and my 20 yd time was 2.6. im wondering what i need to work on most, it seems to me that my acceleration is pretty good but from 20-40 yds im lagging a little. do yall also think i need work on top speed? what do yall recomend i do as far as track work?

Whats your sport / event - if your a sprinter you need to work on all aspects of ur speed work

i udnerstand this and i will work on everything however im really just sprinting to cut my 40 down i play football and baskeball and want to get my 40 down to about 4.5 4.4.

In that case gb asuming ur well conditioned - make the emphasis of ur training of an explosive nature -
standing / prone ( lying on track )
and falling starts ( letting urself drop forwards b4 starting - to lower ur take off angle )
to 10 / 20 / 30 / 40m
in the gym explosive lifts ( snatch etc )
