What about low reps

I’m 17 and 5’7. I know I will probably take a few more inch because both of my parents took 2-3 inches between 17-20.

I know that 1 rep are bad for growth.
I know that 8 rep are perfectly fine.

But for series of 2-3-4-5-6-7, I have no damn idea. And nobody gave me a clear answer. Are they fine or will it hurt my chance of growing.

I’d like to work out with series of 3-4-5.

So if someone know that answer please say it.

Sorry for my english, I speak french usually.

I’m pretty sure that stunted growth from lifting, no matter what the % of 1RM, is a myth, but I’ll let others more familiar with the research give their opinions.

All I can tell you is that I’m 5’9 and 17 years old, I’ve been lifting heavy weights since I was 14, and I’ve grown two inches in the last 3 years.

you have nothing to worry about. whoever said that lifting heavy or fast can stunt growth was very, very wrong.
