Warm up in track shoes?

Everyday at about the end of my workout the kids at the school I practice at come out to get warmed up. I’ve noticed something very interesting with them, though…

They warm up in indoor flats. They wear running shoes, change into these to warm up, then change into spikes for the workouts.

Is there some sort of advantage to wearing these shoes for the warm up or something? I thought this was interesting and was wondering your opinions.

no… warmup up in your trainers. If your doing a speed workout then put on your spikes for your starts and buildups.
