Walter Dixs goes SUB 10 -9.93SEC

oh, ok. thanks for letting me know. i wonder what LeBlanc’s training program looks like. the man looks incredibly strong!

Years ago I read that Mo Green and Ato had a weight training gym coach seperate from their track coach John Smith. I was suprised by that.

Linford Christie was coached on the track by Ron Roddan but Linford desighned his own weights work.

When I read Speed Trap I saw how you had control over all training elements, even the massage for a while. That is untill you were confident that you had met the best physio in “super mike”. Later, the other guy took over the massage/physio but I cant remember his name?).

Cheers JasonUk, yeah I’m cool and I’m going to buy some gym equipment this weak so me Spirits are up.

I’ve now had a chance to see this particular article in Track and Field News.

FSU sprint coach Ken Harnden said he keeps Dix off weights to keep him from gaining too much bodyweight.

He also said that he plans on adding light wt. training, mb exercises and flexibility/ROM work in the future to help keep Dix progressing.

bumping it up.

I think it’s interesting that Dix has stated that even if he made the top three(which of course he did) he had(has?) no plans of going to Osaka.

His earlier comments indicated that he felt he was going off the boil- and the reversal of positions with Holliday would indicate it.

Dix scratched from the 200. I think he was really looking, primarily, at getting that collegiate 100 record of Boldon’s(sp?) so he could move on to the pro ranks(which he will likely do anyway) without any reservations.

FYI, the meet is on for the second time today on espn2 at 7pm.

Hes not going pro…Class act guy…

Though Braman did not say outright he was going pro, he did suggest that it might happen. Something like “what else does he have to accomplish, other than the the CR 100m.” I can’t remember the exact quote.

I suspect he might not, otherwise he’d start cashing in now.
