At my school, since we are 3A, we have to go both ways. I play WR/LB for now, but hope to move to DB instead of LB. Thats probably why we dont ever make it over the second round of the playoffs, is because its very hard to go both ways, and nobody gets a break, and that is exactly how are workouts are. They get you very fatigued to where you go about 50% on each drill.
do u play varsity? dude football is all about mental toughness and conditioning, u can only get soo fast but everyone can get in better condition, trust your coaches.
Started out on JV but then got moved up and I played 5 games on Varsity last year and separated my shoulder for a couple of games. Played MLB, Rov most of the time. Not a single play at WR, but that will change this year because I cant continue to play LB at 155lbs. Im going to have to ask to move to DB, because I dont know why they have me at LB/DE in the first place.

Not used to working out at 10pm. Didnt feel fresh enough to do weights so Ill do them tomorrow. Not satisfied with that 4.7 40, I want that 4.6 when I go to that combine. I need to put more focus into filming my first 10yds, so I can get an Idea of how many steps Im taking.

My hands kept slipping from the bar, and my damn brother lost my gloves that gave me my wrist support on the bench and squat. It felt like my hands were about to slip from the bar on the squat. I might need to buy some of that stickum stuff to spray on the bar so it wont slip. My hands kept getting wider and wider when I benched, so I just stopped. Man, it really pisses me off when I have to stop a workout like this! :mad:
Ever tried chalk?
Squeeze the bar harder to begin with, I think you’ll find that it will improve your lifts as well.
try taping the knurling(sp?)
I never have this problem at school, but I think that the barbells are different. The one at my house is more slicker and the one at school is more thicker and has more grip. I always grab the bar as tightly as possible but it was still slippery. Ill have to go buy me some more gloves because I dont recall ever having this problem without the gloves. But thanks for the help you guys.

No School today! So I got to do my own session today. I think I jumped 2 inches farther on the BJ because I changed the way I landed. I didnt land in a low 1/2 squat position, I extended my legs farther and landed in a 1/4 squat position. I tried to count the steps in my 10yd dash, and Im taking 7 1/2 steps each time. I need to start making measurements and video tape my plyo/explosive strength workouts.

We only did this because our track team is having a district track meet tomorrow. I wish I would have known because I could have gotten some lifting in yesterday. But this is the only tempo/light workout we have done ever. Its getting a little late to start the spring training also. We need to start worrying about our plays with the new offense we are getting next year(West Virginia).

I liked the standing triple jumps. I did it Broad jump, Right bound, left bound, Land. I didnt get to complete my powerclean workout today. I had like no rests imbetween sets and excercises during school today. I was glad we didnt do sets of 10 today. Or I wish we could lift in the 1-6 rep range all year.
