Hey, that would be awesome! Too bad I can’t catch the ball real well, then I would try to become a wes welker. I don’t have that type of ball-skills, that’s why I play defense. I might see some time at RB this year though.
i think ball skills can be improve, instead of lifting extra weights catch 200balls per day and work on the jug machine, sleep with the football etc.
I really don’t lift any extra weights. All the lifting workouts I do are mandatory. What sucks even more is that we don’t even have a jugs machine, I have also never even used a jugs machine. Then right after school is out, everybody’s gone, nobody to play catch with. I also just don’t have the confidence to be a receiver, that’s the main reason why I gave up playing that position.
dude you dont even need anyone to improve ball skills, usc wr work on ball skills 2x a week after there strength training session, by going to a empty room and throwing tennis balls against the wall and catching them with one hand etc. also what i mean by extra weights was the sport of pl which isnt mandatory.

5’9. Might be still growing, my dad is 6’0. I need better ball-skills anyways. I also do not have much experience with cover skills at LB. My hs has runs a zone d most of the time. The only thing I covered was the Hook/Curl/Flat.
u talking about ball skills at wr, safeties must great ball skills esp the great ones like shawn taylor, ed reed, darren sharper etc.
I really don’t have a set position of where I will play in college. When I go to college, it will be up to where ever the coaches want me to play. Regardless of what position I play though, I need to improve my ball skills.

Catching Drils-Stood 10yds apart and threw the ball hard at each other for about 15min. My hands stung everytime I caught the ball, My partner was also throwing the ball with the wind at me.
Finally found somebody who will catch passes w/ me. My partner was our starting TE who has the best hands on the team. My only problem was double-catching the football. I also found a group of guys who are going to do some speed work with me tomorrow. Can’t wait to race them, we are going to clock the 40’s also.
were you wearing gloves? also do a drill where you stand about 10yds away from ur mate with your back facing him and on the word “go” spin around and catch the ball, if you have nfl network you may see the wr doing this drill at the combine.
Nope, I’m going to get that feel of the ball the best I can until I will even think about wearing gloves. I seem to lose the feel of the ball if I get too comfortable w/ gloves. The type of ball we use is a real hard, slippery type of ball, I feel that if I could catch that ball consistently than I could catch any ball.

Then after that, we raced and I won! I had an advantage though bc I ran in track spikes while they ran in their track waffels. I feel like I am being too technical w/ my starts, I am thinking too much. It was very fun having my buddies out there to do some speed work w/ me. We plan on doing this until the end of the school year. Our goal is to each run a consistent 4.6x.

Im through w/ Powerlifting. I do not plan on doing it next year either. This is really frustrating. My bench has gotten weaker and has plateued since the start of the off-season. My squat is almost back to where it was during the summer. This off-season sucks this year. I blame it on the coaches for not changing anything, and not ever giving us enough time to recover.

I feel shin splints about to hit. BAD NEWS-The coaches want me to go to one last PL meet so I can go to regionals. I really don’t want to ever do a stupid fake sport like pl ever again. On thursday I will be running the 100m, 4x1, and 4x2.
What kind of time do you expect for the 100?
I have no clue. Never have ran it :o . I just want to run a race that I can work to improve on to get faster in the long run.

Shuttle-4.07, I can’t accept it
Testing sucked today, it was muddy out there, and we had slippery starts. I ran a 4.64 and beat the 2 fastest guys who ran a 4.61? There was one where I ran a 4.67 and slipped at the start. The shuttles were ridiculous, there were guys running 4.9 40s and running sub 4 shuttles. When I ran that 4.07, I couldn’t accept it bc I know for a fact Im not that quick.
