Training for 10yd, Training for 40yd

Would training for a 10yd sprint differ from training for a 40yd sprint?

What aspects of training are you talking about?

Starting technique would play a bigger role. Strength levels (starting strength and RFD) would be highly critical, but a 40 is pretty short as it is (no SE to speak of), so the difference wouldn’t be as much as the difference in training between a 40 and a 100.
