Three MaxV Workouts in One Week?

Is that too much? We’re going on Spring Break next week and the week after that, and the track coach has decided that he’ll be giving us hte workouts before hand and then we’ll go do the on our own. Personally, I feel like he’s been neglecting the development of top speed at this point in the season and I want to focus on that during the week of my own training. So would doing 3 MaxV workouts in a week be too much stress on your CNS? It’d be set up like this

Mon:MaxV; Weights
Tue: Tempo
Wed: MaxV; Weights
Thu:Tempo
Fri: MaxV; Weights
Sat: Tempo (optional)
Sun: Off

For those wondering the weightlifting would be full body with anywhere from 5 to 7 lifts (2 main lifts with 3-5 auxiliries, depending on the day).

It would be if you went full out. Keep one or two of the sprint days submax, and take it easy on the lifting. Honestly though I think you’d be better off with two maxV days (one max and one submax) and one SE day.

So maybe more along the lines of this???

Mon: MaxV; Weights
Tue: Tempo
Wed: SE1; Weights
Thu: Tempo
Fri: MaxV (not quite as intense though, submax), Weights
Sat: Tempo (optional)
Sun: Off
