ok i’m wondering what bench press is useful for in sprinting? Is it simply for another stimulant for the CNS or does it have biomechanical purposes when sprinting for arm motion. Also i use dumbbells and am getting good progression with them, but when it comes to the barbell i have the hardest time and my max is only 160 for four reps. I don’t know why i’m so weak in this lift, could it be that i have to adapt to it cause the dumbbells bench press is somewhat different? Should i do both of them alternating or stick one lift, do bench on barbells one day and dumbells the other?
