I just wanted to know about the lifts in the weight room that can be done all year long that are mentioned in the CFTS. Sometimes I have a hard time remaining strong as I go through the season. I notice that always during the off season I am powerful out of the blocks when I am lifting heavy weights but as I have to discontinue them during the season some, I get faster but I loose power from the blocks. If I could just have a lot of the power from the blocks from the off season I know I would run much faster.
Try searching the site for information about maintance lifting during the season. Here’s one short thread with a little info. If your stopping all lifting during competitions, it would seem logical that your strength levels would be lower and you would feel weaker.
