I’ve just recently moved to london, and am looking to find a training group, hopefully with training ideas similar to the Charlie francis method. I’m based in the Fulham area, so any information on weight training and sprint coaches in the area or close by would be much appreciated.
ps. any good websites on london’s track and field would great as well.

I’m starting a new SPRINT DEDICATED club in the Wimbledon (SW19) area called ‘The London Cheetahs’. Im organising free coaching, gym use, psychology sessions, Massage and therapy(eventually) and help with nutrition. Outdoor training is at Wimbledon Park Track at weekends. Indoor training at Sutton Arena. My ethos is very similar to CF with emphasis on recovery and not overtraining. My club will be ATHLETE centred NOT coach or club centred. therefore training days /nights are not necessarily the same day every week. My aim is to produce World Class Athletes!! However age range intake is 13 to 17yrs. I’m organising sponsorship at the moment…i have a meeting with the MD of EAS(UK) coming up soon who say they’re interested in working with me. The present club structure is doing its best but cannot/does not really cater adequately for the individual athlete.
My vision is to produce top flight sprinters, period.
You prob. don’t fit the age range…but if you’re interested get in touch anyway.
13-17… yeah i’ll miss that quite comfortably, however your programs sounds quite promising, and I’d at least like to get in touch, might even been able to lend a hand.
I’m 30yrs old, training since I was 17, my pb is 11.03, and i managed a 11.1 last year, I’m hoping to make it under 11 before it’s too late, so i tried my own variation of CF’s methods over the last 2 years, with a reasonable success, although without attaining my goal yet (although I have a reasonable idea where i failed with the system).
… anyway I’m unlikely to get to world class, so probably don’t fit what you’re after, but would nevertheless like to get involved.
If nothing else could let me know of the good facilities (esp. indoor) that i should be using.
NB. I’ve only just moved here from New Zealand so I’m still getting my bearing right.
