Speed training (groups partners or solo?)

DCW, I agree with the concept of stopping while your coming up, but…lol

Does everyone accelerate to the same point and start to rise. I think that for higher level runners of course 40m is a wierd distance to run, cuz it is in no mans land. I run the distance as a bridge between 30m and 50-60m. But for some 40 might be that persons 6sec, or it might still be part of another persons drive phase. But regardless, I agree. Most people who are 11.0 or faster would be coming up at 40m.

Agreed Treb. I am talking about athletes a little more advanced than 40m in 6 seconds

Pete, its not a stupid question. I can’t really say because I don’t know much about your sprinting. Do you feel that you are fully up at 45m? If so, it’s OK.

The main point that I was trying to make is to not try and stop as you are starting to lift because you will naturally try to push for a little longer than you should and this will have a negative impact on your technique.

Thanks dcw. I’ve been doing these from starting and I’m still a young athlete so I think that I probably am definitely up for a bit before 45. I will continue with them.
