SE Split Reps

It seems the topic has been touched in many discussion theads, but never really got into deep.

Are SE Split Reps one mean to introduce SE allowing for technique and speed maintenance early in the Season ?
How do You base Your 95% times for these reps? Is it on the length of the full rep distance or on each single split rep distance?

Also,if there is no need nor chance to intoduce SE early (GPP),how do You gauge the transition from pure Speed work to SE? Speed End hardly looks as a favourable option,as it seeems most demanding in terms of intensity/duration on the CNS…

Charlie’s thoughts,as well as Anyone else contributions would be much appreciated.Thanks.

I’ve interpreted this to mean one could do a progression that goes something like this for building speed up for the 100:
The first week you’re attempting speed endurance you could do 70s
The second week you could do 80s
The third week you could do sets of 260 with 3 minutes rest in between and maybe also an 80
The fourth week you could do sets of 2
60 with 2 minutes rest in between and maybe also an 80
The fifth week sets of 2*60 with a minute in between
The sixth week you could try 110s
The seventh week you could try 120s
The eight week 130s or 140s dropping the intensity a bit if your doing 140s
The ninth week 150s at 95% or so
