SE Session--Optimum progression

Charlie,

What would you consider to be the optimum progression for a se sessionfor the following.

80 120 150 or
150 120 80

I see two ways to look at this ,firstly I think that option 1 would allow for emphasis to focus on achieving se applicable to 100 /120 as the higher speed would be achieved b/4 any drop off in energy available for the session and that option 2 would be more aligned to 200/120 se as the energy expended for the longer distances would limit the speed at which the 80 could be optimally performed.

Of course the recovery needed between ea rep would be observed and maybe as a consequence it wouldnt matter which way the session was approached.

Do both. I combine the distances in a ladder like so…

110/120/150/120/110 (possibly add 80s to beginning and end) or 150/120/110/120/150.

It depends on how hard you wanna work. My 1st option allows for more emphasis on speed endurance as reps are shorter while the 2nd option lends more towards 200m training as it leads more towards the endurance part of the speed endurance, rather than the speed part of speed endurance. Confusing? Sorry.
