Partials in the strong range can have utility for
a. improving a weak point (i.e. bench/squat/dl lockout)
b. putting all kinds of major stress on connective tissues
c. impressing your buddies/the people at the gym
d. making you think you’re much stronger than you really are
Only one of those is a useful goal for athletes of any caliber, IMO.
