Drills with slight resistance would increase the workload slightly, requiring drills of slightly less distance or less reps overall to achieve the same workload the athlete is already familiar with.
Strength End over longer distances contains MANY more contacts (slow walking speed forward) compared to the same distance with skips, bounds etc. Not the same thing at all.
What do you think in terms of strengthening in the sprint position? (hip held high)
If this is an issue, PS drills with a slight resistance might help if carefully monitored- from the side by the coach- that means the coach can’t hold on the the resistance line and watch/correct at the same time. someone else must help.
