Rice Digs...for ankles???

I was thinking of doing Rice Digs:

but for my feet/ankles so as to prevent ankle sprains.

This would take less time than going to a pool and hopefully be less annoying than attaching a rubber band to one’s foot, detaching, and reattaching again, for multiple directions x 2 feet x multiple sets.

Anyone ever try this? Is there a certain type of rice, beans, etc that would be better for the ankles than the hands? (rice might be too easy or something)

Funny, I had the exact same idea. I haven’t tryed it yet though, so I don’t think I can really help.

I have a question. How would you use a pool to strengthen your feet/ankles? Just normal swimming?

Ya just normal swimming, maybe kicks with a board. Water creates resistance in every direction plus the pool just makes your joints feel good due to low impact, cool temperature, hydrostatic pressure, etc.
