This is something that has puzzled me for a long time now, when we have off/rest days, do we just sit around and be a couch potatoe or be a little active, or maybe just stretch and hang around, maybe walk?
It depends - if the rest day is part of the training week, my athletes (AND I!!) do things that they never get time for! Or do some stretching, Pilates, get massage, etc. I believe for rest days before a main competition, athletes must keep off their feet - not a lot of walking, or doing something where they have to use a lot of energy.
