Be careful about aggressive stretching before workouts or between sets, research suggests (and personal experience confirms) that this can cause a loss in your ability to generate maximal forces.
And yet certain coaches reccomend stretching between exercises - especially complex trg. - but perhaps that’s different.
Light stretching between sets seems to be alright for me, at loosening up specific muscles without reducing force output.
I guess the rule is - listen to your body!
