Recovery between races

How do you maximise recoery bewteen two races in the one day?

For example, lets take a 2 hour split between heats and finals of a 200m?

What should an athlete consume after the first race? What is there enough time for?

Anything else that should be considered?


What if we have to run 3 times a day and then want to run again the next day!? It does happen with me so often. So if someone has any idea on this too I’d be greatful.
