I’ve been trying to toy around with my warm up recently, but I’ve never really found something that loosens me up and gets me ready to run. Normally my warmup consists of jogging about 1/2 mile, some dynamic stuff like As and Bs and the like, and then some static stretches. What do you guys do that gets you ready for your workouts?
I like to jog the morning before I run as soon as I get to the track for maybe 800 meters, sometimes on the track if it hasn’t started yet. Before my race I’ll so some stretches, then As and Bs and short bursts, the finish my stretches, then it’s go time.
What is As and Bs ?
I Saw This Awhile Ago. Jog 800meters/3x50 Buildups Then Dym Upper Body Strecthes/3x50 Buildups Then Dym Lower Body Strecthes/3x50 Buildups Then Sprint Drills Put Spikes On And DO Some 20 And 30’s Then Put Headphones On And Rest 10mins While Shaking Legs. Just Something To Think About.
