Why is it that me and a friend of mine, made hardly progression on the 100m the last 4 years, while an other friend made 1 second progression? We train all together, and do the same things. And we all are 20 years old. How can it be that one guy makes lots of progression with the same training and the other guys make hardly any?
it is easier to improve from 15s to 14s than it is to improve from 12s to 11s, or 11s to 10s for example. if that guy was slower to begin with his gains will be much larger than yours…
Also, the same type of training doesnt work for everyone. One session may be difficult for one and easy for another. Or, one session may do more for one person than it does for another. it all depends on the individual
LIP,anyone can get faster but depends on the training routines and suitablity.your friend has decreased his time by 1 sec in his first year, great but the decrease in time will get alot harder.when dieting the first 2weeks seems to be great for results due to water retention and so on but there-after the drop-off is alot slower.the same can be said for track training.anyone can get faster with training but there comes a point where specific training comes into place.this will occur with your friend if he wants to get even faster.now in your case you got to look at your training and what you are doing.post your routines and we can all help you decrease your times
don’t get frustrated, some people are lucky genetically while the rest of us have to work a little harder
