Is a 10 rep one week, 8 rep the following week, 6 rep the following week and max test the next week… a good way to become stronger and peak for meets that will be in jan???
I am a sprinter and I usually do squats, bench, and shoulder press one day and cleans, sldl, seated row the other day and squats, bench and shoulder press the third day again
changes to be made anyone???
To improve strength absolute intensity must be >75%. Is your 10RM >75%? With the ‘Stone’ approach, early mass gains will most probably be none functional (sarcoplasmic) and will, in any case, be lost when volume decreases later in the cycle.
BTW to avoid overtraining relative intensity for multiple articulation exercises should not be >95% unless the repetition maximum is being tested.
I’d keep to squat, bench, cleans EVERY workout.
