Barefoot sprints

How does the Vertimax work?
All I know about it is that it can be replaced for a power/Olympic exercise or you can replace an Olympic exercise with that.

lol yea I gotta hit the barefoot sprints.

The vertimax is essentially an elastically resisted platform. I perform squat jumps on it. I would consider it closer to a plyometric activity than an olympic lift but I do have quite long ground contact times. However the resistance is very linear and it feels very natural.

Friday 10/10
Afternoon:
Dynamic Warm Up
Hurdling Technique Drills
notes: I have made the decision to forgo my high school season indoors to participate with a different coach and compete unattached at college meets and still do NSIC and Simplot Games. My new coach is Steve McGill, he is primarly a hurdle coach but we will be focus my training for the 400/800. His past athletes include Johnny Dutch who just missed the olympic team this year in his freshman year of college, Wayne Davis, Booker Nunley, and many other great hurdlers. I am looking forward to the season very much, and I think my first meet will be at Clemson in early december.

What are you using for hamstring stim???

Your basically Doing 5 WO’s a week for your next stage of training. From what I gather you are in the begining of your GPP Maybe a month in.

I think you are running way to many anaerobic WO’S. I think you need to build a much stronger aerobic base. When does your season end? May-June?

If you plan to run 800 I think you may struggle later. If the 400h or open 400 is your goal you may be ok with this type of work.

I used just IFC for 20 minutes to get my foot in the door. But I read up and I am going to do Charlie’s recomendation of Russian Stim at 10 on/50 off for 10 minutes. I have a question regarding this though should I place the pads further up my hamstring, and if I do glute stim where should I place the pads.

I am very blessed to have access to stim where I intern, as well as lifting platforms, bumpers, ultrasound, vertimax, 50m of indoor mondo, and medballs. I feel very fortunate and I am very thankful.
