Going to failure is not required on all sets.
Do you periodize your weights? ie, 12reps for say 6wks, 8reps for 4wks, 5 reps for 2, 2 reps for 1-2wks. That type of thing, not necessarily that exact wks or reps by any stretch of the imagination. I try to, but I could probably do better. Recently (last month) I have tried going heavy for 4x3,4,5 then burnout set x1,2I have done 4x12, and I actually do very well on endurance lifting.

Do you do weights for mass or strength only? I going for either. I am tall (6’5")and could use both.

Do you incorporate weights training and Speed training in the same day?
eg - Mon = weights and speed, tue = game practice drills, wed = weights n speed etc etc

Or do you do it like eg, Mon = weights, Tue = speed, wed = weights, thur = speed etc etc.
I generally do speed work on upper body days and no speed work on lower body strength days.
6000 Calories!! How big are you? I probably eat around 3500 calories per day, I was just curious if I needed to increase my caloric intake up to 6000:)
How many grames of Protein per day are you taking in?
[b]I take whey protein on the days i lift, about a scoop and a half. I have taken whey off an on over the course of this time. A rough estimate would be that i eat about 100g of protein per day, 140g with the whey (i weigh 200) I have also taken creatin and have noticed my biggest gains over the time i have been on it, but i have also had lower body gains without it…

When Im at college, my calories go up (usually for the good:))[/b]
