Planning training during competition

When an athlete is only doing 2 sprint sessions a week (accel/max v + accel/SE) and they have a meet and run both the 100 and 200. From my understanding is that it covers the SE side of things, so when would one sprint next if the next meet isnt for 10 days?

Would the session just cover accel only? Say meet saturday, takes 72 hours recovery (low int work/off day) and sprints again tuesday?

If it’s 10 days between the meets you should be able to fit two sprints sessions in between, no? Maybe the first one after the meet could be at 95% rather than 100% intensity.

What you focus on in these sessions may be determined by what you observe in the competition. Whatever the athlete needs to work on the most could be the focus of the practice sessions in between competitions.
