I have recently completed my first higher level competitions as of a week ago. Rested and am now thinking I need to include a maintainence phase to maintain my strength. I read Pioneers post on calculating the weights. This time of year includes more competitions that definatly tire me out. In the past I have not been willing to maintain weights that much but did so last year. This seemed to help my performence in sprinting and I want to continue. My question is how would you include cns related work into the plan when endurance loads are high?
My current plan
monday-recovery I am usually tired this day.
Tuesday-endurance ride in afternoon
Wednesday-recovery day
Thursday-Speed work p.m. short sprints on the bike
Friday-a.m. maintainence weights
Saturday-easy ride
Sunday-competition
What sport are you training for?
thanks
Chris
