Well, since my season was ended early by outside forces, I will now concentrate on understanding fully all the complex details of the CF system. First, I need to understand the periodization aspect, which I know nothing about. This past season I got by, by just doing what felt good. Could someone help me understand the intricacies of the yearly plan? From what I understand there are 5 different phases to the yearly plan( GPP, SPP, Pre-Comp, Comp and Recovery). What is the purpose/goal of these phases? What types of exercises would be done in each phase(For example would their be a focus on max strength or low intensity runs…)?
