Has anyone come across a spike with a slightly wider spike plate in the forefoot?? My foot is bit wide, Im right on the border for wide sizes and regular in my trainers.

Model according to this site is TTP591 but may not be correct.
New cyberzero looks good. Ran my PB in the silver/yellow/black ones a few years back. Have had Nike red/silver/black with zip (Superfly??) for a year or so - don’t like them, never ran fast in them. Put foot in totally wrong position and slip around inside on bends. Going back to asics ASAP.
Have similar experience to first poster ie like the feeling of running barefoot, have high arches, wide, very springy feet, good dorsiflexion and like a crisp contact with the track. Anyone in this category have a preference for cyberzero/cyberflash/geo spark/chrono?
Does anyone have both the new Celars and the Superflys from 2000? If so, are their sizes equivalent? I know that the sizes of Nike spikes vary between models.
The type of shoe can be VERY important. There are more than “rediculuously minor” differences (A stiff plate can cause achilles problems). You have to find a shoe that’s right for you- and there wont be five different kinds!
“Model according to this site is TTP591 but may not be correct.”
Actual number is ttp613. Here’s a bigger picture and the ttp612 - looks like cyberzero with fixed spikes.
THE NEW TOKYOS 2002-3 ALL SILVER, DO THEY ALSO COME WITH LACES OR DO THEY ONLY HAVE THE FIT STRAPS TO SNUG UP?
DOES ANYONE HAVE A PAIR AND IF SO HOW DO THEY FIT AND FEEL?
I have a pair and like them. They only have fit straps, but they work well. The only problem – and it’s minor – is that the tongue part of the shoe seems to come up too far into the front part of shin, which wouldn’t be a problem if the material was a bit softer. I solved that by cutting off a small portion of it.
In general, I like the mizunos and asics spikes. I also like adidas. Mostly I like these brands because I need a wider toe box. Nike and other brands always seem to cramp my toes.
I saw a picture of Devers after winning the 60m. final and the spikes she had on I’m sure were Nike Kennedy XC spikes! Is this right? What type of spikes do most athletes use indoors?
She has been using cross country flats for sometime now. She even uses it outdoors too. I’m guessing the reason why she wears XC flats is because she has so much speed than any of the other hurdlers she races against. She probably needs the small heel cushioning the XC flats gives her when she hurdles.
where can I buy those asics online, where I can read the site, cos the site in chinese is really hard to understand.
I’m interested in the TTP061-9193 TTP598 TTP607
Do you think it would be possible to improve in the 100m by .1-.2 seconds by changing from those shoes
who weight maibe 15 oz each one to a decent pair of spikes.
Not unless you’ve been wearing snowshoes.
That is funny
So what is the purpose of wearing spikes if they don’t improve your time?
It’s possible. How do you feel when you’re running fast in them? I ran in a meet once(the 100) with running shoes like those, and while running my feet were slipping around in them and felt like the shoes were going to fall off, even though I had tied them tight before the race. I also lost traction, too. About 2 weeks later I ran in another meet, this time with spikes, and I ran .6 second faster.
I feel pretty good except for maybe the first 2 steps.
Well then your time will probably improve some, but not a lot just by wearing spikes.
Just thought I’d let everyone know about the new Nike Spikes out. The Nike Monsterfly: There is a special heel support that minimizes heel contact especially during the later phases of a race when fatigue begins to set in. Apparantly it’s been backed by 3+ yrs of research. Could be legit or a pre-olympic gimmick.
Cheers
do you have any picutres and info on the ‘monsterfly’?
Here’s more info on the spikes:
