I’m a sprinter, I have run 10.30 and I just came off a season where I ran 10.46. I never really got to see where I was when I was fully peaked because I ran out of funds to get me to big meets. My training age is 11 years. Since I have been training so long is it as important for me to have summer of high volume lifting? Is it necessary for me to have an off season program that would go say, 12 weeks. Or since I’m experienced having the strength building summer isn’t as necessary for me because I may not make the gains someone who is just beginning would?
I also have new workouts I’m going to try that would take me from June 20 to the end of February. My season ended May 20 so that is why I am asking about an off season program. I have posted the workouts in sprint training and periodization forum with little reply.
