new workout?


I need some help changing my workout routine. I was lifting for football and wanted to change my workout for track and field (sprint). I have no idea where to start.
I want to do a four day split, what is the best way, upper/lower or push/pull or something else? How can i periodize my workouts, what kind of rep scheme, volume, intensity, duration, and anything else i may have forgotten to mention.
I really am clueless as to how weight lifting for track and field works. All the lifting I have ever done has been for football. If anyone has a published workout i can look at to get an idea of how it is that would be great.
