How would you guys plan a 3 week cycle for the Division one athletes who are hitting peaks this weekend?
I am sure 95% of the athletes who are competing at NC are hitting their peak marks. But what do you do for the athletes who have a shot at the trials and placing in the top 5 in the 100m/200m on both sides (men/women).
I would give 'em 3 days off after NC and during the 3 week plan I would get in the following:
10 Speed Sessions (average 2 session per week @ 95% )
6-7 Tempo Session/and body wt general strength sessions
The other days planned around recovery.
A lot of these athletes will run .3 slower at the trials because their plan will be off.
Any thoughts?
