currently i am doing a plyo session followed by weights.
PLYO
1.10x slj into pit
2. 8x stj into pit
3. 8x double leg bounding over ten little hurdles (approx 3/4 foot high)
4. 8x single leg bounding over ten little hurdles ( " )
5. 6x squat hurdle jumps over 5 hurdles controlled and slight pause at bottom
6. 6x explosive hurdle bound over 5 hurdles landing soft and rebound qik.
7. 3x 50m bounds.
GYM
cleans 5-3-2-1
…
…
etc.
anyway my problem is with my cleans. I struggled to lift normal rm’s and had to go 10kg lighter.
Session day b4 was flying 100m/150m x3 with 3 minutes between reps and 8 mins between sets.
Is my problem simply cns fatigue by plyo session ?
I would say so. That is a high volume of high intensity plyos to be performing imediately prior to weight training.
If you must perform such a high volume of plyos I would advise you to perform the plyo workout about 4-6 hours before the weight training workout, if at all possible.
it just changed from the day before. So i dont think it would tell you much.
Maybe because i changed from a 4*300m 8mins rest to the 100/150 session. So body may have been in a bit of shock due to max speed session day before
