My plan for the summer

This summer my friend and I are going to be spending most of our time together and training for the upcoming basketball season. We’re both 15 and need to improve our GPP.

Besides playing/practicing basketball 4-7 days a week I plan on having us doing calisthenics and medicine ball throws 3-5 times a week to develop relative strength, endurance, coordination, etc. Eventually, we’ll move to weights after we get strong enough. For conditioning we’ll do sprints 2-3 days a week and tempo/distance running 2-3 days a week(this might change depending on how many full court games we’re able to play).

Our biggest weakness is probably our strength. My friend also has a little extra bodyfat he could do without. So, do you see very many problems with this plan? Any suggestions about adding/cutting something out will be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions about us or our equipment I’ll do my best to answer them. Thanks

No comments about it? :frowning:

How are you going to develop relative strength with medicine balls? Relative strength has more to do with strength compared with bodyweight. You don’t really have a plan yet, those are just training ideas. Try to work backwards in your program design and you’ll be more successful.

We’ll be doing calisthenics for relative strength.
