What you guys think of my speed training workout?
2x10 depth jumps (18" box)
3x10 one legged hops
3x10 jump on to bed with 40 pound weight vest.
been doing this for 4 weeks now,by the way, I get my sprint work in doing football practice.

Can you post details of what you do at football practice, how often a week, when/ how often do you do the above?
i have football practice three days aweek; on mon, tue, and thur…//In practice we run
routes and practice plays then run 5-10 40’s and 10’s
I do my speed training two days aweek and I give myself two days of recovery
between workouts.

It should give you a taste of what training for your sport should be like. Your ‘speed training’ is essentially plyometrics.
Firstly, volume is too high. I make it out to be 80 fc’s. A number no more than 30 would be more appropriate with an emphasis on form & speed.
Group high intensity elements together. Twice a week (Mon & Thurs?) perform your plyos after practice.
Speedwork is in place, add other variables as and when able. If you are tired after practice don’t be afraid to leave them out (this could include plyos, weights, med ball etc.)
Ensure you get adequate recovery between sessions!
