when should you reach max strength in the weight room. our training started in january. first competition is in late march. the money meets are in the middle of may and end of may. from what i have read on this site you can maintain 95% of max strength in back squats for 7 weeks by doing a 3x2@85% once per week. should i just count 7 weeks back from the most important meet and then start the maintenance phase?
I’d start the maintainance phase maybe a week out from the start of the competition period. The graphs showing how all the elements are linked together are in - CFTS, Forum Review ebook, Van’04 dvd etc…
