alright i started weight training in september with hypertrophy for a short time (10 reps) then moved into strengh (6-8 reps, 4 sets) until december. ive been doing power (3-5 reps, 5 sets) since december with high intensity. now im in track season, my first track meet was last week (march 4th). my last one is in early may, when qualifying beings. i dont know exactly how long ill make it, but my season will probably end in early may. what should the maintananece phase of my weight training look like. should i keep the intensity high? lower the reps? btw, im a 200/400 runner.

For maintenance, I’d keep the intensity high but lower the volume. For example, instead of 4 sets of squats in a session, do 2 sets.
