Isorbic Exerciser (high octane article) implementing the line

How you feel is better to secure for resistance runs?Waist or shoulders?I always believed tha at waist it is morenatural than shoulder, fearing that the latter could enforce breaking at hips level…so being inclined with your back, but not with your legs…thoughts?

i have tried the full harness, that goes around shoulders and waist. I found it really really uncomfatable. I moved to a Weights belts put on backwards around only the waist, and wont look back, its like its not even there.

I have had no luck locating a Isorbic Exerciser for sale. Nothing comes up for it when I google it.
Please help if you know wher I can purchase some for high school football team.

it’s the same thing as far as I know

That one wouldn’t be good for sprinting. That is more for strength training.

Search for Exergenie…it’s called The Trainer now…retails about 129 USD

I love mine.

I sa w this one…it has a short rope…it is possible to replece it with a longer one?or you need to…destruct it??

That ebay item is an Exergenie…

Yes, you will need to buy a longer rope and use that. There should be instructions for replacing the rope in the manual. You won’t find an isorobic exerciser or exergenie with a rope longer than a few feet as far as I know. It’s either that or pay over $100 for “The Trainer”.

In your opinio, the trainer is better, or just has a longest rope?

I think they’re all the same thing. They just come with different rope sizes. Looks like the ebay one doesn’t come with a belt by the way.

I got my isorobic exerciser which came with a belt and 6’ rope on ebay a few years ago for about $40. I then just bought a 40m rope and installed that.

If you have the money, just get the Trainer and don’t worry about making all the modifications (belt, rope, etc). If you don’t have much money, get the one on ebay, buy a longer rope, and just use a regular belt that you’d wear with pants.

deals are still out there.

Under $20 delivered!

Is the exer-genie the same as the isorobic exerciser but with shorter rope then? I just want to clarify that? Also, in terms of locating a point to fix the device, is this tricky. I am struggling to think of ideas of where I could fix one at my track if I were to get one.

They are the same thing.

Yes it’s a pain in the ass. A sled is a hell of a lot easier to use but it’s not as portable as the isorobic.

Thanks for the feedback. The benefits over the sled are that the resistance is more consistent and that it can be used with blocks more easily as it wouldn’t collide into the back of them? I Just want to decide whether or not it is a good idea for me to get one based on my circumstances.

I used mine for the first time yesterday with my training partner. I like it a lot!

I have enough rope to do 30m starts, we did 20m yesterday and I’m significantly more sore than when not using the unit. I can now see why it’s a popular device among sprinters.

If it’s that cheap, why not try it??

I’m on a fairly tight budget, and if I can’t locate somewhere to fix it, then it would be a lot of money for me to throw away. Plus on top of that I’m sure it will be at least another $20 to ship it to the UK, if not substancially more. I like the idea of it, it’s just I don’t know how practical it is given my circumstances (financial and location).

For those that caught the Sprint programme on TV is the Isorobic device similar or the same as what Harry AA was using while doing the block start session? He had a belt attached to some rope and pulleys fixed to a wall with weights at the end.

I attach mine to a chain link fence at the track using a dog leash :D… not too bad really, just have to deal with the extra rope and make sure people aren’t around to step on it, etc

Hi all,

In a few weeks I am going to visit NewYork. Is there any chance i can buy such an isorobic exerciser there ?
