I read recently from a heretofore reliable source about Eric Heiden doing some crazy stuff–to wit–doing 600 pound (or more) leg presses for an HOUR…rep after rep. Anybody heard about this? Valid or myth?
I have read of distance runners doing leg presses for up to 5 minutes, but nothing at this level. I dont see how one could do this without regular shots of cortizone.
I remember reading about Heiden and some other skaters squatting strength.
However, they did not use free weights and bodyweight was included in the total weight stated.
