Increasing Acceleration (Leg Frequency)

Hi, I was wandering which strength training exercises help with Increasing “Pure” Acceleration or fast Leg Frequency???..(I’m only talking about the first 10-40 meters)… I suppose most resistant training does help in some ways, but are there any specific resistant exercises which isolate training for Acceleration???..

Any comments would be appreciated…


pure acceleration will get better with specific runs as in acceleration runs.frequency will happen or increase with proper relaxation technique.actually relaxation will dramatically help both issues here.flying 20/30s will also help your top speed.

Strength is also an extremely important component here because you have to overcome the inertia of your body.

If strength levels are good, then simply running a bunch of 10 - 40m accelerations should work. You may also want to throw in some resisted sprints as well.
