I'm gonna try to go to atleast 2 indoor meets this year

I’ve never done indoor track before cause my school can’t afford it but i’m gonna run unattached in atleast 2 meets this year and i know they have some very short sprints so i’m doing a lot of weight lifting to build more power but i got a couple questions.

1.What kind of shoes do i need on an indoor track?
2.Whats the difference between running on a banked track and an unbanked track?
3.If i miss up my start on the short sprints can i catch up?

  1. Depends on the surface, usually you can use your regular spikes and maybe if you really want to switch to 5mm tartan spikes
  2. I don’t know about this, never been on a banked track
  3. No way josé, here it’s all about the start, exploding out of the blocks, good clean acceleration and relaxing till you hit your top speed hopefully just before or at the line and hopefully in 1st place

Cheers
