Wondering, after a couple of weeks of sprint training, my hamstrings get very tight and need a break and acupuncture and massage to get healthy, normally about 1 full week. Now, if after every hard sprint session or gym on the hammies, one was to RICE the hammies, REst-Ice-Compression-Elevation, for say 15-20min, do you think that would prevent the hammies needing that week off?? Maybe? Or something else during the time of training, say calcium and magnesium tabs?
BW massage will help but only if used frequently,once a week.ice baths will help,sauna,pulsing ems,elevation,stretching and proper cool downs are vital.is your programme different? if so certain parts will need time to adjust. did you ever try wraps??? anti-inflam and heat wrapped in cling film and left overnight…great results
