Guys I need some help, I have had a niggle at the top of my left hamstring just under the glute for most of the season, anyway I went to see my Dr so that hopefully he would transfer me to some nice free health service phsyio.
You can guess that didnt happen! He did give me this cream instead Hydrocortisone cream 0.05w,
I am not familier with this, I know enough about the injection but will it in a cream form be any good. The Dr said it will be but I have heard that it can sometimes be damaging in this form.
I have not used it yet and probably wont do but any advice would be appreciated.
He’s having a laugh. Hydrocortisone creme is good for clearing up dermatitis but I don’t think its going to help this problem.
Go and see a good ART practitioner. This is a very common niggle. It drives you mad. There’s most probably scar tissue there and it needs to be broken up else it will keep microtearing around the site.
A more cost efficient and productive method might be receiving a sports massage by a qualified therapist.
Yeah I’ve used the cortisone cream. I shaved my legs and developed in grown hairs and welts within 4 hrs. The cream worked great, hardly even felt the doctor digging the hairs out with a needle a week later. Didn’t help my hammies though.
Cheers guys!
on the shelf of useless other stuff acquired it go’s.
Just wondering is there any really good creams that hit the spot, as I cant always be in a position to ice the injury due to something that pay’s the bills (damn job). Is there somthing to help for the hours you cant R.I.C.E.
Dazed, don’t shave…WAX!! I know it hurts more, but eventually you get used to it and you only go red for a day then its gone with no ingrown hairs, much better than shaving. If you are having problems trying to wax yerself, just make yer girl do it, women are obviously way better at this than us clueless men.
Hey guys wasn’t hydrocortisone cream mentioned in “training for speed”. In angella’s training journal?
soory I dont have it, cant get it anywhere not even the university library, what did it say?
*** Why don’t you try DRL100 cream. It contains hyaluronic acid which is a constituent of muscle and also makes up the fluid in joints. When you apply the cream to sore muscles, it will take the pain away. I think their website is drl100.com
Thanks for the reply I will check it out.
