How do you stretch the 'rowing muscles'?

A question for the stretching experts. What is the best way to stretch the muscles involved in the ‘rowing’ resistance movements? When I do a large volume of throwing (especially discus) the next day those muscles in the back are sometimes slightly uncomfortable, although not painful or really tight. I try to get someone to massage them (normally the mrs), but I don’t know how to stretch them properly. The only way I can get a stretch feeling in them is when I am at the beginning of a row exercise, like the dumbbell row. It feels like one of the muscles that pulls the inner side of the scapula towards the spine.

Have you done rope stretches before? If anyone Clemson would have a picture to show you for Lat stretching.
