I was wondering if anyone knew of any scientific research articles that highlight the shortcomings of HIT vs. Olympic weightlifting? I have a friend that works for a HIT guy and needs some ammo.
Any information would be great.

Search google for:
“HIT” With a “Hammer” by Frederick C. Hatfield, Ph.D.

Anything by Mel Siff.
But I doubt you’re friend will have much luck. HIT isn’t exactly the most obvious choice for a strength training protocol. Anyone that uses it probably has already heard everyone else bitch and moan about it so they’ll have heard it all before. Your best bet is to empathise with them, try thier training for a month and get them to try yours. This way you will both learn a little and come closer to the “truth”.
Good luck.
tc0710,
Thanks for the help! I’ve searched all over the place for relevant info.
